Little Rock, AR (July 26, 2022) – Great Dane Little Rock is honored to be awarded the Accumulative Years Safety Award for having worked three years without a lost day away from work.
Presented by the Arkansas Division of Labor, the Accumulative Years Safety Award recognizes companies with an effective safety and health program, resulting in years without a lost day away from work for employees. This, in turn, highlights a safe environment for employees to serve their customers.
It is a high honor for any business, with just over 700 of these awards being given to Arkansas employers in the past thirty years. And, just one week after the award presentation, Great Dane Little Rock will surpass the four-year mark as well.
“To go as long as we have without a recordable incident takes an extreme amount of work, focus, and dedication,” shared Matt Hauser, District Manager at Great Dane Little Rock. “This award goes to signify the value of all the work and is a visual reminder to each employee of why we do what we do.”
Great Dane Little Rock hosted a barbecue celebration for employees and area dignitaries, with Ralph Hudson Arkansas Division of Labor Director presenting the award to the Service Center’s leadership.
“On any given day in the state of Arkansas there are roughly 72,000 companies that are eligible for these awards. Since 1994, we’ve given 735 of these awards out. You stand in an elite group of companies who put safety first,” Hudson shared.
“It takes a strong dedication and commitment from employees and management to make this happen and ensure you go home safely each and every day,” he added.
The Accumulative Years Safety Award highlights Great Dane’s strong commitment to safety and accountability in the workplace. Proper training practices help build a safety-focused culture where employees not only follow protocols but ensure their colleagues do as well.
“We are proud to be honored with this award as it shows our hard work and dedication is not going unnoticed,” said Jonathan Matlock, Parts Manager at Great Dane Little Rock. “It takes each employee working as a dedicated team to be as successful as we are and will be in the future.”
Great Dane Little Rock is a key Service Center in the nationwide Great Dane network, providing sales and aftermarket parts and service for tractor trailers in the region. Great Dane Little Rock currently employs nearly 25 full-time employees in the area.
“It takes a team to win an award like this and the team we have here in Little Rock is our work family who we all want to see healthy and safe,” added Juan Rodriquez, Service Manager at Great Dane Little Rock.
