For more than 35 years, B. Reynolds Trucking has relied on Great Dane for their refrigerated trailer needs, forming a partnership that has remained strong through the decades. Based in Ontario, Canada, B. Reynolds Trucking specializes in freight transportation, and the company’s fleet is powered by Great Dane’s innovative Everest refrigerated trailers—mainly stainless steel, 53-ft triaxles.
Brian Reynolds, President of B. Reynolds Trucking, has seen the value of working with Great Dane firsthand. “Great Dane trailers are a superior quality to other trailer manufacturers. They stand up to the wear and tear of daily use and provide the reliability we need to serve our customers,” Reynolds said. “Our Great Dane refrigerated trailers are built stronger, offer better features, and our reefers are equipped with more insulation which keeps our trailers climate controlled. In addition, the rear doors are very durable and stronger than the competition.”
The lasting relationship between B. Reynolds Trucking and Great Dane was further strengthened through an invitation to visit the company’s Wayne, Nebraska plant. Brian, along with two of his drivers, flew to the Great Dane Wayne manufacturing plant, where they were given a tour. “I was impressed with the facility, the people, and the way we were warmly welcomed. Seeing how the company operates firsthand, it’s clear that Great Dane prioritizes quality at every step,” Reynolds said.
Custom Solutions That Drive Efficiency and Durability
Great Dane works closely with the team at B. Reynolds Trucking to provide customizations that help the company experience increased efficiency and durability. This includes an extra light package inside the trailer that Reynolds describes as “superb”, heavier 5th wheel plates, galvanized stringers suited for the climate in which the company operates, heavy-duty gusset plates on the rear, and aluminum floors tailored for their specifications.
In addition to the exceptional quality and customized specifications Great Dane provides for Reynolds’ fleet, Brian says Great Dane’s customer focus and personal approach sets the company apart from the competition.
His long-standing partnership with Chris Hammond is a perfect example. “I met Chris about 30 years ago, and we’ve maintained a great relationship ever since,” Reynolds said. Over the years, they’ve connected at various truck shows, including in Toronto, Canada, Louisville, Kentucky, and Savannah, Georgia. “Chris has always been a reliable source of valuable information for me. Whether it’s about trailers, industry trends, or fleet management, I know I can count on him for expert advice and support,” Reynolds explained.
Looking Ahead: Innovation and a Lasting Commitment
Looking ahead, Brian says he’ll continue to build on his partnership with Great Dane. He’s planning to visit Great Dane’s Statesboro, Georgia plant, to gain more insight into the company’s ongoing innovations. “Great Dane is always ahead of the curve when it comes to technology and quality. I’m excited to see what’s next.”
The enduring relationship between B. Reynolds Trucking and Great Dane is a testament to both being steadfastly committed to quality products and strong, lasting relationships. For B. Reynolds Trucking, Great Dane trailers are more than just a business investment—they are an essential part of the success of their operation.
