Refrigerated Grocery Trailers & Truck Bodies

PRECISE TEMPERATURE CONTROL. FRESHNESS DELIVERED DAILY.

Built for Grocery Distribution

Grocery routes are hard on equipment. Everest reefers and Alpine and Johnson truck bodies are built to take that daily wear, so fresh and frozen loads arrive the way they left the warehouse.

Do I need a single-temp or multi-temp trailer for grocery distribution?

If your route carries one type of product at one temperature, single-temp keeps things simple. If you’re moving fresh, frozen, and dry goods together, which is standard for most grocery DC-to-store routes, multi-temp is built for that. Both Everest and Alpine are available in single- and multi-temp configurations, and Everest can be configured with three independently controlled compartments plus ambient capability, so mixed grocery loads don’t have to travel in separate trips.

What sets Great Dane refrigerated trailers apart for grocery distribution?

Great Dane’s Everest and Alpine lines include features not available on any other refrigerated trailer or truck body, built specifically to handle the wear of daily grocery routes:

– Microban® protection, an antimicrobial technology proven to reduce bacteria by 99.9%
– SLIPNOT anti-slip surfaces at door entry points, exclusive to Great Dane, reducing slip-and-fall risk at high-frequency stops
– ThermoGuard™ liner, available on Alpine, virtually eliminates outgassing to keep insulation performing at peak efficiency over the life of the trailer
– PunctureGuard liner, standard on Everest and Alpine, offers nearly three times the peel strength of other linings
– ClimaCore™ insulation, an HFO-based system with a blowing agent that has almost zero impact on global warming, compliant with U.S. and Canadian regulations
– Ultra Road Shield™ exterior, a strong, lightweight aluminum skin with a two-coat acrylic paint system for corrosion resistance
