Nolt Transportation Specs 57-foot Refrigerated Everest Trailer

Nolt 25,000th trailer, Great Dane

Several years ago, Tim Nolt began a new phase in his life when he entered the transportation industry, driving flatbeds and doing LTL work.

In 2023, he founded his company, Nolt Transportation, hauling refrigerated products in the Pacific Northwest and produce near his hometown in Pennsylvania. His first reefer was a 2018 Great Dane that Tim describes as “just a phenomenal trailer.”

“Having a Great Dane trailer since the beginning of my refrigerated LTL work has proven the quality of work and reliability behind their trailers,” Nolt said. “A reliable and heavy-duty trailer is one of the biggest advantages, for getting the job done, especially in the LTL world that depends on reliable delivery and temperature control.”

Recently, Tim was ready for a new reefer – which to him signifies a big stepping point in his business. He worked closely with our team at Great Dane Statesboro, spec’ing a unique 57-foot refrigerated Everest. Our Statesboro plant is the only one within our manufacturing network equipped to build trailers of this length.

To make matters even more significant for Tim — and our team — the dual temp trailer also happens to be the 25,000th trailer our team built since the Statesboro plant opened.

“To get that phone call and hear I was getting the 25,000th trailer was very exciting. It was definitely an honor,” Nolt said.

Tim says the collaboration with the Statesboro team made a big difference in his experience. “We spent time talking about the specs, and they built it the way I wanted it, and that went a long way for me,” Tim said. “They double checked every detail, down to where I wanted the plugs mounted.”

Tim mentioned this attention to detail matters because every aspect of his trailer contributes to his business.

The kind of work we do requires a lot of scheduling and street unloading, so the reliability of the trailer makes the difference, especially for holding the perfect temperature and not breaking down,” he explained.

“I like Great Dane for how they build a trailer and even how they look. I think they have one of the better-looking trailers out there,” he added.
