Electrification has come a long way in the past half-decade, and Great Dane is helping lead the way in trailer and truck body electrification efforts by partnering with industry-leading providers on all-electric equipment that can reduce diesel fuel usage for TRUs and amplify battery efficiency through regenerative braking.

Reducing Your Carbon Footprint
ThermoGuard reduces refrigeration cooling unit run time and helps maintain excess cooling capacity. Over time this reduces fuel consumption, which is better for the environment and your bottom line.
Environmentally-Friendly Insulation
Over the life of a trailer insulation degrades, releasing the insulation’s blowing agent into the air. If the blowing agent is classified as a greenhouse gas, the released chemical will also amplify infrared light, potentially causing global warming. Great Dane looked to the future and crafted ClimaCore, a brand-new insulation with a blowing agent that has almost zero impact on global warming.
Fixing Air Leaks to Reduce Energy Consumption
Air leaks are a significant source of wasted energy, which has a substantial adverse impact on the environment. Air Aware is a program designed to identify and remedy air leaks at our manufacturing plants so they can be fixed, saving energy.
