SAVANNAH, GA (November 13, 2023) – Great Dane proudly announces that Dave Ritchie, Great Dane’s Senior Director of Environmental Health and Safety, has been elected Chair of the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) Safety Committee.
Dave has been involved with TTMA for several years, chairing the Safety Committee when first established and most recently serving as the Vice Chair of the Safety Committee.
“I feel privileged to chair this committee and to have the opportunity to work with such an impressive group of professionals who volunteer their time and vast expertise. My goal is to ensure the committee’s knowledge is made available to the entire industry,” Ritchie said.
Great Dane has always prioritized safety as a core pillar of the company, with a culture of safe thinking woven into every task across teams.
“No one has ever served twice in a TTMA Safety Committee leadership role, so this is an honor for Great Dane, and especially for Dave,” said Rick Mullininx, President and COO of Great Dane. “He created Great Dane’s company-wide safety initiative, ‘Think Safety First,’ which teaches safe working behaviors and the negative outcomes one injury can have on a team member and their loved ones, and I know he’ll bring that same creativity and forward-thinking to the committee, which will ultimately help make the trailer industry safer.”
The TTMA Safety Committee’s mission is to protect the membership’s people, their assets, and the environment through the prevention of losses, damages, and injuries. Ritchie’s term as Chair will continue through April 2026.
