The all-new Sahara Dry Freight Truck Body, which incorporates industry-leading trailer and truck body designs from Great Dane and Johnson Truck Bodies, features Great Dane’s exclusive body tie-down system; Grote® LongLife sealed harness with 10-year warranty; .24” pre-painted white exterior composite plate with galvanized steel interior; EnduroGuard roll-up door frame; grab handles at rear, curbside, and roadside for easy loading and unloading; and a composite upper corner design with aluminum corner connection for durability and ease of repair.
A 2017 model 53’ Champion CP Dry Van custom built for Saia LTL Freight of Johns Creek, Georgia. In addition to features such as the Stemco® Platinum Performance Plus Wheel-End System and Grote®’s LongLife 100% LED Lighting System, the Saia show trailer features a range of custom options, including composite plate panels with .019” galvanized steel skins; Prolam™ hardwood flooring with protective coatings, including WaxIn100™ full-length protective top coating and full-length PuR™ polyurethane undercoating for superior moisture barrier protection, and a Meritor PSI Inflation System.
A 2017 model 28’ Champion SE Dry Van custom built for Southeastern Freight Lines of Columbia, South Carolina. Noteworthy features on this versatile pup trailer include Great Dane’s PunctureGuard lining for increased protection; 1.38” Prolam® hardwood flooring with WaxIn 100™ full-length protective top coating and full-length PuR™ polyurethane undercoating; a bolt-on suspension sub-frame; galvanized steel decking panels with universal decking options and .200” x 24” PunctureGuard side scuffbands.
A 2017 model Great Dane Single-Axle Converter Dolly which features a bolt-on drawbar tongue assembly; a new approach ramp on the rear frame to prevent the low trailer from hitting the rear of the fifth wheel; Bridgestone R268 Low Rolling Resistance Tires and a Stemco Platinum Performance Plus Wheel-End System with 6-year warranty.
The Champion CP, Champion SE and Converter Dolly were assembled at Great Dane’s Kewanee, Illinois facility.
Also on display is Great Dane’s 4-in-1 Back Up Alarm System designed to increase safety for drivers and pedestrians. This system features Grote®’s new integrated lamp that combines all stop/tail/turn and back-up functions into one industry-standard size lamp. The innovative 4-in-1 Back Up Alarm only works when the wheels turn backward, does not come on when the trailer moves forward, and is completely independent of the ABS system on the brakes.
