(Savannah, Georgia – June 8, 2016) Great Dane’s Huntsville, Tennessee, plant is a winner of the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association’s (TTMA) 2015 Plant Safety Contest for the second year in a row. The award was given for the mid-size plant.
The Huntsville, Tennessee, employees logged more than 1 million hours of work without a lost-time accident in 2015. The facility currently employs more than 200 people with a range of skills, including engineers, welders and support personnel. The plant – one of 10 Great Dane manufacturing facilities – is dedicated to building Freedom flatbeds and drop decks in steel, combination steel-and-aluminum and all aluminum.
